Our story
One of our first dates at Palawan Beach
His version
A classic Tinder love story - Boy pays for Tinder Premium, swipes right and gets a match. Girl hits him up with a Disney GIF. They meet for dinner and drinks and the rest is history.
Her version
Was on the brink of giving up on online dating. Saw an intriguing bot-like Tinder profile, swiped right for the lulz. Bot turned out to be a real person agreed to meet up. Marrying said person three years later.
Basically
Yeah we met on Tinder.

Frequently asked questions
How should we dress?
Cocktail. Think mini or midi dresses for the ladies, sports jackets or mixed suits for the men. Feel free to express yourself and stay comfortable especially under the Bali heat! While we won’t be having any events on the beach, it will be an outdoor wedding with walking on grass (stilettos not recommended).
What is recovery day?
“The wedding recovery is all about taking it easy, continuing the celebration with friends and family in a much more relaxed environment, while having an absolute ball” - Google search sums this up perfectly. Chill with us at Pawana Villa with a fresh coconut or a hair of the dog.
Can we bring our kids?
We love your little ones, but have decided to have an adults-only wedding (with the exception of immediate family). We respectfully request no children or babies. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a night out and appreciate you making prior arrangements.
Why Bali?
Because why not? Sean was initially adamant about having the wedding in Melbourne, but after attending our good friends’ wedding in Hua Hin he was totally sold on the idea of a destination wedding. Bali’s a nice middle ground for all our guests, and we could all do with an excuse to have a holiday in Bali.
Will flights and accommodation be provided?
We’re sorry but we won’t be able to cover this for all guests. We recommend booking the trip in advance and making a holiday out of it. The wedding will be in Uluwatu, so staying in the area from 8th - 10th Nov to avoid traffic would be ideal.
Is Duck coming
to the wedding?
Sadly, we’re going to have
to leave Duck at home in Melbourne. While Duck won’t be gracing us with her cute presence as a flower girl at the wedding, we’ll be honouring her in many little ways.

Our favorite memories
Attending our first wedding together
Dawn very impulsively invited Sean to her sister’s wedding two nights before where he first met her family and friends. This was also the night that Sean had asked Dawn to be his girlfriend (she said yes but took it back a few days after)
Travelling the world
Our first trip together started off in Thailand eating pad thais and getting massages. Next up was getting around Sri Lanka hiking and swimming with turtles. Since then, we’ve been to Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Japan together. We’re looking toward to our honeymoon in Central & South America.
Our move to Melbourne
6 months into the relationship, we made the big decision to move to Melbourne together. Fast-forward 6 months, Sean gets on a plane to pick Duck up from quarantine while Dawn stayed behind waiting on her visa. Now living in South Yarra, we enjoy hosting a barbie or two or having a picnic at the Tan.
The proposal
It was just another Saturday when Sean woke Dawn up from her nap, asking her to go for a walk. He put a jacket on Duck - which she hated, but eventually we made it to Fawkner Park. While sitting on a park bench, Sean pulls out the ring he hid in Ducks jacket and asked Dawn to marry him (no, he did not go down on one knee)
& we can’t wait to make more memories with you
